NATIONAL PROTEST OUTSIDE LINDSEY OIL REFINERY 23/06/09

Brothers and Sisters

Paul Kenny the General Secretary of GMB is leading the way with his  announcement, which was released on the Politics Show today,  and backed up by a statement from his press office at 1-30pm, that the GMB are officially supporting a Protest (the first of many)outside LOR on Tuesday 23rd 2009 starting at 6-30am in support of the 647 workers who have been locked out and are being discriminated against at Lindsey Oil Refinery, these workers have to reapply for their Jobs by Monday night and then management will then select who they want back, they will then be given a new contract of employment, this is discriminatory and a direct attack on the Trade Union members, activists,  and Shop Stewards and this action cannot, and will not be tolerated, by the LOR sacked workforce, and the trade union movement.

Everyone has been crying out for a NATIONAL Day of ACTION well this is the big one; Supported by the GMB, if we do not defend our right to work without fear of discrimination from ante trade union employers, the likes of TOTAL then our Industry is finished. Everyone is asked to fetch their regional Union Banners from their Branch to the protest.

Please come and show your support outside the Gates and show the Greedy Employers we are no longer going to stand for their Bullying, Discriminatory tactics on Engineering Construction Sites, the Likes which has happened on LOR, Grain, Staythorpe, South Hook, and many, many more. Sites around the UK

The Address for LOR is
